Starting with delicious

Food is the highlight of the day for us, and it has been ever since the chubby cheeked baby versions of ourselves uttered our first words. For me it was ‘more’ and for Drew (slightly more sophisticated) it was ‘chocolate cake’. It’s exciting, comforting, necessary. It makes us happy.

Food also has a big impact on the world. Agriculture and transport are two of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions globally. On top of that, lots of food products come in plastic packaging that is not easily recycled. If we are to create a sustainable future, we can do a lot by changing our relationship with food.

The recipes here are first and foremost, completely scrumptious. From breakfast to dinner, there’s something new and exhilarating for every day, and we have some showstoppers for that special occasion too. They just happen to be entirely plant-based, which means that their carbon footprint is considerably lower than a diet containing meat and dairy. There are also lots of simple things you can do to cut down on packaging. We’re starting with delicious, hoping that we can help drive a food movement that also tackles climate change and plastic pollution.
